  • So I have a question. I have a lot of diabetes in my family and I try my best to get in the habit of eating healthy now and try to keep my weight down, but like you, I had complications after my last child. I hear a lot of similarities with what you have been through with your weight journey and what I've worked through myself. My question is, do you have issues/sensitivities to sodium? I seem to and I'm not sure why. I do get hypoglycemic but I try my best to remember to eat something.

What's in your "stash" foods, cause the hardest thing for me is when I'm cooking fryed chicken for the family and my stash is salad or a smoothie ?

  • LadyKacij says:

Great job!!!! I'm also on my weight lost journey!!! Thank you for the encouragement!?

  • Jessica Abel says:

Thank you. Great advice and amazing. Good figures to know. Inever have found numbers that i could follow and how simple is that? 45 max carbs per meal! I missed it but for your snacks how much carbs. I am going to try this.

  • Deborah Cutler says:

    Congratulations Thank God.

  • Deborah Cutler says:

Thank you. I needed to hear all this. ☺

  • priscilla shaw says:

I wish i could eat 45 carbs. I blow up like a balloon if i go over 10g per day. What a encouraging video. I totally agree that people are very quick to judge people on their weight. Drives me bananas. I have hashimotos and loosing weight with it is no cake walk. I have to excerise 3 times a week. Do keto and fast daily to loose .5lbs in a week. If i change anything i gain. Im so happy for you! What awesome progress!

  • Brenda Berry says:

    Congratulations!

  • Gee Gee Palmore says:

I am praising God for your health. This is very inspiring because i am going through my on health problems. Thank Tully for sharing.

  • Ajene Gailliard says:

Thanks for sharing. This is encouraging. I too struggled with Hypoglycemia most of my life, but was never given a diabetes diagnosis. I was misdiagnosed with PCOS which is typically caused by insulin resistance. Quitting sugar helped me to turn things around. Have you ever heard of Trim Healthy Mama?

  • Creating Essence says:

Food journal- YES! It brings to light so much we don't realize!!! Your self control and commitment to good health is so inspiring and encouraging. Thank you so much for sharing your journey.

  • AMEN Homeschoolers says:

How many carbs can you have for a snack and do you have snack ideas? Thanks and great job!!!

  • Four kids on your own… you are a power house!

  • Thanks for this video! ? You should look into Trim Healthy Mama. It's a life changer. It's a way of eating that is based around controlling blood sugar. It's amazing, and easy to follow once you get the basics.. ?

  • Josie Sowers says:

I WAS listening to you, then I got distracted by the adorableness of Nathan and Aiden interacting. So sweet to see the bond between those two.

Would love to see more healthy eating/lifestyle videos, as well!

  • Lindsay Hill says:

Can I ask did did you have issues with being severely fatigued ? I love this video I have found a lot inspiration in this video . I am overweight and really need to get it together to make things I want. In life to happen ?.

  • Gabriela Urch says:

Thank you so much for sharing your story!

  • Raymes Guzman says:

I'm so happy for you that your A1C numbers are down. Diabetes is something that I worry a lot about because it runs on my mom side & my dad had it & because his adopted we don't know if it runs on his side. So Everytime I take my prediabetic screening & it comes back clear it's a today blessing. Love your videos♥️ God bless can't wait to see your next one♥️?

  • stephanie turpen says:

If you ever have time can you do a video to show what your family eats at meals and then what you eat so we can get ideas.

  • MrsKerri4u says:

God is great! He does wonders…all you have to do is trust and believe that he changes things around. Yes!!! You look great!

  • BrownArrowsHomeschooling says:

Your journey is incredible and encouraging. I topped out at my highest weight in 2017 and it wasn’t coming off. I wasn’t eating much, either. I wasn’t able to do much physically/ longevity-wise. My body would shut down midday. If I didn’t snack I’d get light-headed. I definitely think ? something was wrong. But I don’t frequent the doctors ??After my family moved, I began switching my family’s food away from processed foods and taking in much more water and produce. I did no exercise, just ate better. And I’ve dropped 40lbs.

  • You look fantastic Erica! You have worked hard! Praise the Lord!

  • The Retro Housewife912 says:

I love the food diary idea. I need to start doing that with my sodium watch. Congrats on all the weight loss and keeping with it. I get frustrated when you hit that rough patch.

  • Liza Suarez says:

Great information! There are various reasons behind diabetes and weight loss association, to understand the facts and weight loss occurrence you need explore more into the deep. I read Diabetes and Weight Loss – Are They Connected? at zovon. But I feel the video has explained the issue in a great way.

  • keshabeshafopesha says:

Hello! Thank you for your video! I was looking for videos on YT regarding weight loss for diabetics and came across yours and it was VERY helpful. I believe God that I will get to the point of not needing insulin. I could go on and on, but just wanted to let you know your video helped me and I would LOVE to see more on your journey. Thank you!
